Hennessey’s football program made history in 2015, but not the kind to which the Eagles’ program has become accustomed. When Washington ended Hennessey’s season with a 35-17 win in the second round of the 2A playoffs, it put an end to an eight-year streak in which the Eagles won at least two playoff games. Two games prior to that, Chisholm knocked off Hennessey 15-7 in Week 10, snapping a 29-game district winning streak and also ended a string of four consecutive district crowns. Enough, says head coach Rick Luetjen as the 2016 season approaches.
