The funeral for Bea Herrin will be at 1p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Oakwood Christian Church, officiated by Alan Seibel and Eric Keller. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Mulhall, under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. There will be visitation from 6:30 to 8p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2019.
Bea was born in Logan County to Morris and Nannie McNeil and died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Hennessey Nursing and Rehab Center in Hennessey.
She graduated from Coyle High School, attended Phillips University and taught school at Lyon Valley and Gritz Acres Christian Academy. She married Clarence Herrin east of Bison on September 3, 1946.
Bea is survived by five daughters, Nancy Connatser and husband, Bill, Muse; Reah Callaway and husband, John, Hodgen; Elane Crosby and husband, Paul, Tulsa; Debbie Scoles and husband, Wyatt; Beth Berkenbile and husband, Jimmy, all of Hennessey; one sister, Bessie Burton, Guthrie; two brothers, Marlin McNeil, Stillwater and Virgil Mc-Neil, Portland, MI; fourteen grandchildren, Bryan Connatser, Philip Connatser, Audrey Steelman, Christopher Peck, Chandra McMullin, Rhesa Storms, Alyssa Hart, Carissa Miller, Kara McMellian, Kristi Simunek, Nathan Scoles, Summer Munroe, Joseph Berkenbile and Autumn Blackburn and 37 great-grandchildren.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister and one brother.
Memorial donation may be made in her name to the Johnson Bible College, Clarence and Bea Herrin Preaching Permanent Scholarship Fund, with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
