Eagles’ incredible season culminates at State Tournament

The Eagles started out the tournament last Thursday against the Vanoss Wolves at Edmond North High School. Hennessey jumped out to an early three-point advantage thanks to 10 first-quarter points by Hugo Rodriguez.

However, it was the second quarter when Hennessey started to pull away. The Eagles lead jumped to 14 points, thanks eight from Bryan Villalobos, including a pair of threes, as well as seven points from Cooper Fuksa who went a perfect 5-5 from the free-throw line in the frame.

Vanoss made a run in the third to get the lead back to single-digits, but Hugo Rodriguez countered with 11 points in the fourth to keep the Wolves from getting any closer. Villalobos would go on to put the final touches on the 69-60 victory, making all four of his free throw attempts down the stretch.
