Eagles top Outlaws in 10 and under baseball
Last Thursday, the two Hennessey 10 and under baseball teams avoided the rainy weather to face off against one another on the diamond. The Hennessey Eagles went on defeat the Hennessey Outlaws 14-2 in four innings.
For the Eagles, first baseman Jarrett Smith reached base three times in the game with a pair of walks and a single, while also swiping three bases and scoring three times as well. Third basemen, Connor Nelson also had a big hit with a firstinning double. Nelson also scored twice himself.
The Eagles put up five runs in the first inning, and after being held scoreless in the second, scored two in the third and seven in the fourth to close out the game.
The Outlaws saw their only rally come in the top of the fourth, when a pair of walks, and a single by Connor Kelly produced their only two runs of the night.
