Eagles win first game on the home court

Chisholm dealt the Hennessey High School boys basketball team it first dose of adversity this season and the Eagles answered the call.

Down by double digits to the Longhorns in the first quarter in their home opener, the Eagles reclaimed the lead by halftime and never let go Thursday in a 52-45 victory.

“We responded well,” said coach Brady Page after his team improved to 3-0. The Eagles were ranked No. 8 in the most recent Class 3A poll.

That didn’t matter to Chisholm, which has played Hennessey tough in multiple matchups the last several years, including eliminating the Eagles from the playoffs in 2016.
