Gubernatorial Candidates Discuss Issues in Enid
Eleven gubernatorial candidates visited Enid’s Central National Bank Center last week to discuss issues with area voters in a candidate forum hosted by the Oklahoma Academy.
Three questions were posed to the candidates: one involving the wind energy industry and taxation of wind energy, one question on education and one question on municipality taxation.
Candidates attending were as follows: Republican Candidates; State Auditor Gary Jones, former U.S. Attorney Gary Richardson, Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett, Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb and Tulsa businessman Kevin Stitt; Democratic Candidates; former Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson and State Sen. Connie Johnson; Libertarian Candidates; Wynnewood businessman Joe Maldonado; Bethany businessman Chris Powell, Tahlequah teacher Blake Stephens and Broken Arrow Businessman Rex Lawhorn
