Hennessey's monthly Town Hall Meeting, Monday, Jan. 14, and a special meeting that followed, Thursday, Jan. 17, brought with them topics that concerned the community for both adults and youth.
Chief of Police, Hank Weber, reported on a jail inspection that would allow the police station to open cells for holding prisoners for 10 days, rather than the currently allowed time of 12 hours. That inspection was slated to occur within the coming days. Weber also gave his report on the Police Department's recorded activity regarding calls and reports for December. HPD issued 54 citations valued at $12,092. Overall reports from Weber included 30 police reports, three adult arrests and three traffic collisions. The total monthly calls for service in December reached 680.
