HHS Awards Ceremony Held

Seniors at Hennessey High School received accolades Thursday, May 2, from the school, memorial foundations, the military and more.

The Masonic Lodge handed out multiple awards and scholarships to students at the event. The Masonic Student of Today award went to Callie Seiger. Under essay contest winners, another Masonic Teacher of Today winner was listed as Marie Parrish. Scholarships in the amount of $500 each when to Dakota Davis, Cooper Fuksa, Bailea Fuksa, Christian Perez, Sarai Orozco, Hugo Rodriguez, Faith Calvert, Callie Seiger and Taylor Dunigan.

Colleges and universities also handed out awards and scholarships to high-performing students. Among those presentations was Northern Oklahoma College, handing out scholarships in varying dollar amounts to five students. Hugo Rodriguez collected a total of $1,500 from the college, with Darla Thompson receiving $850. Garrett Lough walked away with a total of $7000 from the school. Taylor Dunigan and Santana Melendez walked away with $425 each from NOC’s scholarships.
