Hugaboom stars on Senior Night

The Hennessey High School baseball team saw their season come to an end last week as they were eliminated from the playoffs by the Alva Goldbugs. Following Hennessey pulling off a miraculous, comeback victory on Monday for Senior Night, the Eagles found themselves at the opposite end of a comeback in their first game on Thursday against Alva, before being eliminated in game two.

On Monday, Hennessey hosted Oklahoma Christian Academy for their final home game of the season, in which the seniors were honored before the contest. Unfortunately, the Eagles found themselves down 8-0 after only two innings, and it looked as if Hennessey’s Senior Night might be spoiled by being run ruled.

However, the Eagles started their comeback in the third inning when senior Zane Hugaboom connected on the first of his four hits in the game. Hugaboom singled to left field, before swiping both second and third on consecutive pitches.
