Junior high boys dominate against Okeene
The Hennessey seventh/ eighth-grade teams took on Okeene last Monday, in a pair of lop-sided games on the hardwood. Unfortunately for the girls, they were at the wrong end of the scoreboard against the Lady Whippets, but for the boys, they looked absolutely sensational in their victory.
The Lady Eagles kicked off the night with a 56-15 loss, in which Okeene shot the ball at an extremely high rate. Whether it was the free-throw line or from three-point range, Hennessey didn’t see their opponents miss often, leading to the 41-point loss.
Noelle Pollard’s seven points led the way for the Lady Eagles, and she hit their only three-pointer in the contest. Yuridia Rios, Kenna Pendergraft, Kimber Smith and Trysta Failing each added a basket as well.
