KINGFISHER COUNTY’S SHARE OF GROSS PRODUCTION MONEY COULD DOUBLE THIS YEAR … AGAIN
2017-18 (8 months) — $5.64 million
2016-17 (12 months) — $4.26 million
2015-16 (12 months) — $1.87 million
The return to the county in February for gross production taxes was $1.2 million. The highest in the county’s history for a monthly check, and so far for the 2017-18 fiscal year, with four more months left, the county has received $5.64 million due to the oil and gas drilling.
The numbers from the county clerk’s office show that for 2016-17 (July-June) the county received $4.25 million and in 2016-16, $1.87 million.
