Lady Eagles’ softball ready to take next step
With August finally here, the Lady Eagles are gearing up for softball as the season draws near. Coach Megan Karsten will be starting her third year at Hennessey, and is hoping to take a big step forward with the program thanks to a steady class of seniors. “We had a lot of improvement last year, although our record didn’t necessarily show it,” said Karsten. “But the product on the field got much better.” The seniors are expected to play a big role for this team’s success in 2018, but for one Lady Eagle, her season ended before it ever got going. Senior Morgan Wymore returned to softball last year after suffering a knee injury in her sophomore campaign. Unfortunately for Wymore, she tore her ACL in her good knee several weeks ago, and will miss her senior season of fast-pitch softball.
