Lady Eagles drop game to Perry in rain-shortened week
After a couple of weeks with some tough competition on the schedule, a light workload that saw the Hennessey Lady Eagles’ softball team only scheduled to play twice, was expected to be a good break midway through the season. On top of that, rain spoiled their Fridaynight game with Glencoe, leaving their Thursday loss to Perry as the only contest of the week.
Despite dropping the game 10-4, Coach Megan Karsten’s team played exceptionally well early to hold a hard-hitting team to one single in the first three innings.
