Lady Eagles take four of seven in busy week

It was a busy stretch for the Hennessey Lady Eagles as they played seven games over the course of five days last week. Coach Megan Karsten’s girls won four of those matchups, including three of five in their hometown tournament.

The Lady Eagles started the week hosting Garber on Monday night, where they won a low-scoring contest 2-0. Skye Simunek, Morgan Wymore an Hunter Miller each collected two hits on the night, while defense was immaculate to keep the Lady Wolverines off the scoreboard.

After falling to Okarche 6-2 on Tuesday night, the hot bats returned in time for the Lady Eagles hometown tournament. Despite starting the game with a seven-run advantage, Hennessey couldn’t hold off Kingfisher and lost 11-10.
