Lady Eagles take two of four in Ringwood Tournament
After having each of their first three games cancelled for various reasons, the Hennessey High School softball team finally got underway this Thursday in Enid, for the Ringwood Spring Swing Slowpitch High School Tournament. The Lady Eagles won two of three on Thursday, before travelling to Waukomis on Saturday where they lost to Fargo.
The Lady Eagles got off to a rough start in the tournament with a 12-1 loss to Waukomis. Edith Alaniz went 2-3 with a single and an RBI-double for Hennessey’s only run.
That matched the Lady Eagles up with Timberlake in their second game, where Hennessey Morgan Wymore untied the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. After Calista Monreal doubled to lead off the inning, Wymore hit a grounder to short that resulted in an error.
