Receiver takes over local care facility

OKLAHOMA CITY – A court-appointed receiver will take control of six rural nursing homes to avoid evicting the residents in a defaulted lease dispute. The properties in Hennessey, McAlester, Anadarko, Marlow, Crescent and Lindsay are in default of their leases, according to a filing in Oklahoma County District Court. Samuel T. Jewell, the president and sole shareholder of the nursing homes, could not be reached for comment Monday.
