Terry M. Johnson

 Terry M. Johnson was born Aug. 5, 1959 in Bethany and passed away Mon., Oct. 31 2016 at his home in Cashion. He is survived by his mother, Norma Winburn, and dad, Deryl Winburn, of Crescent. Terry has one son, Loggan Johnson, and his wife, Baylee, of Lamont and one daughter, Meggan McReynolds and her husband, Nathan, of Biloxi Miss; six grandchildren, Stryker Johnson, Remingtin Johnson, Jaycee McReynolds, Jett McReynolds, Kathrynn McReynolds and Gavin McReynolds. Terry loved his family. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He lived life to the fullest. Terry attended Hennessey schools, graduated OSU college, then went on to teach automotive structural engineering and automotive paint and body at Francis Tuttle and OSU Tech in Tahlequah. He worked in the oil patch as a young man, then later after retiring from teaching, he returned to the patch. He had many accomplishments and in 1996 was awarded Teacher of the Year by the National Teacher’s Association. His passion was teaching. He mentored thousands of students ranging from the high school age to the university level. He always had faith in every student he taught. He would never give up on anyone who was willing to learn. One of his favorite sayings to his students was “success belongs to the people who believe in the reality of their dream.” He was a walking quote machine, and always had words of wisdom in any situation. He was a bold outgoing person. He always had a smile on his face and warmth in his heart. He was always encouraging to everyone, and always telling people to “be the best at whatever you do.”
