Anisa’s Country Adventures

Voters across Oklahoma will be voting for city council members Tue., Apr. 2. These posts are often an overlooked part of essential town functions.

Within each town, city councilmen meets to discuss various matters.

City projects, potential hiring or resignations of city officials, citizen and business concerns, and town activities and more are discussed.

Councilmen must consider what needs to be done, how it needs done, and how much it will cost to get it done.

Examples include, but are not limited to, repairs to city buildings, streets and infrastructure, and converting city-owned buildings to new uses and needs. Council members might have to consider whether to allow organizations or individuals to rent city-owned dwellings for businesses or private use. Bid must be considered.
